Horses and smelly feet

A group of campers went horseback riding this morning.

 Looking good, Chris B.!

 Way to go, Daniel!

Andrew Z. and his counselor model Blue Shirt Day.

Kevin astride his horse.

Now Athena takes her turn.

After lunch (which Cy's mom helped to make), it was another beautiful beach day.

 Adam and Avery.

Adam has some kind of bogus story about how he has to leave camp so he can go to college.
Ridiculous!
Who cares about learning and making the world a better place?
We want him to stay at Jabberwocky.

Fashion plates!

 Charlie's Angels?

Amanda had a nice rock collection going!

Celeste entertains us all with her funny stories.

We have a very strict policy at camp about not throwing anyone in the water or pouring any water on anyone. So I simply don't know what's happening in this picture.

Uh-oh, Nathan has a mischievous smile on his face.

Once again, this picture can't be explained.

A series of bus pictures.

 J. Lo styles Kristen's hair on the bus.

(Part of styling hair is smelling it.)

Our evening activity was a Cabin Challenge.

The first category was dance.

 Torey represents for Jub Jub.

Chris B. of Gyre and Gimble amazed us all with his moves.

Andrew Z. shakes a leg for Galumphing...

and in a surprise addition, Chris M. of Galumphing jumps/dances with Hudson.

Claire of Mimsy breaks it down.

J. Lo shows us moves for Tulgeywood.

The judges table was very impressed.

There were three medical doctors on the judges' panel! (The one with the weird hair is not a doctor.) It was kind of a shame that everyone at camp was so disgustingly healthy, because it was a real missed opportunity to get lots of free medical advice.

Grease sings Grace. I mean, Grace sings "Grease."

Kyle freestyles.

Erin's song made us laugh.

Josh did a moving solo from the Sound of Music.

Turns out Adam can also play the ocarina!

We're really not going to let him leave now.

Then we made counselors put oreos on their foreheads.

Yes.

John really wanted to win this one!

But he didn't.

I bet he'll spend all year practicing.

The most important part of the Challenge was the smelly feet contest.

A rose by any other name...

would not smell like James' feet.

Athena got the award for nicest smelling feet.

Michael F. won for All-Around Most Repulsive Feet, to his delight.

We ended the evening with some "ballet dancing." Here's Jub Jub: Erin, Torey, and Athena and their counselors.
If only Emmy had been up there twirling with them!

Bandersnatch: James, Josh, Nathan and their counselors. (Dominic had something else special up his sleeve, not pictured here.)

And finally, a new feature of the blog: "Humans of Jabberwocky"
(this is modeled after the popular "Humans of New York" and "Humans of Boston," which you can look up if this doesn't make sense.
But if you're really expecting the blog to make sense, you may as well give up now.)
Our first "Human of Jabberwocky" is Richard.  "When I grow up, I want to be an ice skater."
