Another day of non-stop fun

Today we had horseback riding, crafts, baseball, pizza on the beach,
and then we went to watch the Sharks play baseball!!
( We got junk food and free t-shirts, too.) A great day.

Elaine was our guest artist and she did a collage (not college) activity.
Thanks Elaine. Come back again.
We love art class. (Well, I do)

We raced to the beach (well, sort of) and had pizza.
Then baseball. Martha's Vineyard has its own team.

Go Sharks! Beat the other guys!
And they did.

Annie, Peter and Drew model their CLEAN white shirts.

Peter threw out the first pitch.

Hey, where are the posters we made today?

John and Kate competed in the Dizzy Bat Race.
Guess who won?

Pretty artsy, Patty.

Karoke and Cabin Fever

James and Gracie performed in perfect harmony.

Elvis is in the building!

We played "yearbook" today, so instead of homerooms, you get cabin photos.

Here's Mimsy, sitting pretty.

Now we have Momeraths, with bacon.Hmmm...

Tulgywood has monkeys jumping on the bed.
That's better than spiders.

Slithy Toves is going for a beach theme.
Margaret's ready to go snorkeling.
Watch out for sharks!

The swinging pirates from Jub Jub. ARRRRRGH!!!

Bandersnatch doesn't seem to know where to go.
Shall we tell them?

Seven guys and a girl in Gyre & Gymble.
That could mean Lucky Kate, or Poor Kate.
You decide.

The moment you've been waiting for all year!

These fancifully-hatted counselors are waiting with baited breath to welcome campers to their first day of camp.

Here comes the boat!

Gracie and Stacy look happy to be here!

Craigger is often pretending to shoot people, but right now he's just smiling.

Welcome, Darcie and Sloaney-Baloney!

Robbie's here, to teach us about firefighters!

You can't travel light when you're coming to Camp Jabberwocky.

In the afternoon we went to the beach for a cookout and a drumming concert.
And Justin helped carry towels. Thanks, Justin!

Michael "Harry" Harrison showed his photo album of an awards ceremony to his awesome new counselor Kate. . . and about a hundred other people. Gracias, Harry!

What a great counselor Brie is. She's making sure Hannah won't get sunburned legs.
At least I think that's what she's doing.
Maybe she's brushing up on her alligator wrestling skills.
You never know with Brie.

Josh knows how to relax with a cup of coffee!

Some of the Gyre & Gimble crew! They look good in blue!

Kip usually floats in a boat, but this year he tried something new. Looks like he wasn't sure yet what he thinks.
Blue is your color, too, Kippy!

The men grill the burgers.

Peter and Gracie dance to. . .

. . .Rick and his drumming band. They sounded great!

Hmm, Cy also looks snazzy in blue.

Jeremiah and Zoe are bandanna twins.

Peter and Brie do the Bump.

Tune in tomorrow for more Camp Jabberwocky adventures.
If you didn't see a picture of YOUR camper,
don't worry.

It just means that
we chained them up and threw them into shark-infested waters.

They're having a great time.

We're Back!

Just testing to make sure I remember how to blog. Many of the counselors have arrived, and we are cleaning, and organizing, and sweating and eating lots of ice cream, and trying to go to the beach. (The rain keeps coming, dag nab it !) hope all the bad weather is done BEFORE the campers arrive on TUESDAY!
Stay tuned.

See you in 49 weeks!

We closed our year at camp with the build- up everyone had been waiting for. Prom! Everyone rushed home from the beach and took a quick shower, then went straight to the porch for some hors d'oeuvres served by some lovely waitresses.

Our prom's theme was Hawaiian paradise. Rachel Michael worked all day getting the studio in tip top shape. It really brought the whole night together.

Our DJ for the night was DJ Dr. Ew and his tunes kept everyone on the dance floor, singing to their favorite songs.

We had our "professional" blogger take couples' pictures for everyone who wanted to remember their magical evening together.

Thanks everyone for keeping up with our adventures at camp. We'll see you all next year.
